At best it would probably take about the same time to get from Harrison to Midtown via PATH as Harrison to Newark to New York Penn via NJT. PATH is a no brainer heading downtown or to Brooklyn.

On weekends, PATH is a disaster. Forced transfer, 20 minute waits, and 5 minutes sitting in Hoboken.
