The Amazon towers don't look that bad at all. The problem with them is they are simply way too short. Why couldn't they just combine the 3 towers into 1 to create a 900-1,100ft tower? Everyone will end up remembering these as some ritzy office buildings, not an instanly identifiable Amazon HQ in downtown Seattle. On the other hand, there are very few companies today considering building a 900ft building anywhere, or even a trio of pretty signficant skyrcrapers. Even if this project could have more potential its still pretty impressive all things considering and in the times we live in.
From the above article:
"Altogether the project - the largest ever in downtown Seattle, and the largest metro campus of any tech company - may take four to eight years to complete."
