Taipei will be only 30 min away from Taoyuan Airport after Airport express is done, and Taipei has just got it's own "international" airport back(Songshan). It seems that the central and the Taipei government are so proud of this move. Why not Taichung?
...while Taoyuan's terminal II had water leaking from the roof yesterday.

Yep..some politicians think that they can get a few more votes because this can produce easier and quick results than long term plannings.

btw. actually there were two airports in Taichung. The one nearer downtown has been closed down for developments.
