A certain historian thinks he is the arbiter of all that is good; and he did not take very kindly to having his arguments overruled. If the judgement stays in place, then his whole reason for being (i.e., controlling what gets built in the central city) is gone.
Bingo. THIS. They claim to want more downtown development, but heaven help the developer who tries to build any.
