It's so crazy that reason given for cutting is short is that it "wasn't up to the standards required to share the height of the Chrysler Building" and now looking at it I think it perfectly compliments the Chrysler Building. The shining spire, the way it tapers, all evocative of Chrysler. It's a perfect contemporary NY tower.
