I have some doubts about where the money will come from for the Event Centre, but it needs to go downtown and we all want it there. After reading all these crazy posts and that website, I'm just speechless.

I must agree that a suburban centre would be cheaper in the beginning (initially); but in the long term it's a bad planning and financial decision, which will eventually be more expensive and unsustainable. Someone needs to read some Jane Jacobs literature.
