Interesting Facts/Records (in own words): Crossing of Ems river by the 380 kV powerline Diele - Conneförde. Until 2007 the pylons were 84 metres tall.
On November 4th, 2006 in many parts of Germany a blackout occured, after the powerline had to be switched off for safety reasons in order to allow the passage of a new cruise ship built by
Meyer shipyard in Papenburg.
In order to avoid switching off the powerline in 2007 the height of the pylons of the span, which has a length of 405 metres, was increased to 110 metres.
