Mineral Wells is working on restoring the Baker Hotel, though I'm not sure how far along or feasible any of those plans are turning out to be.

I have'nt looked recently but I know there were some proposed high rises along the coast on SPI or Corpus, and all the college towns like Baylor and College Station have some nice infill projects going on.
