If the airport generated enough traffic to warrant 6 kilometers of track it might be worth it. Remember, Vancouver's Canada line only goes to the airport because the Airport Authority kicked in $250 million dollars.
If Calgary's airport was willing to put in a similar amount, it would go to the airport.
To be honest, right now Calgary only needs a better bus route from the LRT to the airport.
