Not only were the details scaled back, so was the building material. It was supposed to be clad in Indiana Limestone, like the Empire State Building and instead was clad in brick to cut costs.

Coming across the Ohio River by car this building looks magnificent and powerful.
It's a real icon for Cincinnati.
