Talk about crazy timing...just received word today that crews were up installing samples of the new sandblasted, more opaque glass on the north side of the garage. Six of the new panels mounted next to two of the old panels for comparison.

A settlement with the contractor has finally been reached and the new panels, if the samples meet with everyone's approval, will be ordered for delivery and installation in the December-January timeframe.

In other news on the UCSF campus, the Block 17 courtyard between the Smith cardiovascular building the Diller cancer building opened today. And the Block 19 courtyard between Rock Hall and the new neurosciences building opens Monday. The pedestrian pathway along the west side of the neurosciences building will open in a few more weeks.

Hopefully timbad or one of our other photogs will get a chance to check out the new courtyards for us!
