I can understand no historical pictures surviving as very few historical pictures from the other buildings are floating around, But it seems many journalists and photographers are getting access to these "out of bounds" areas in other buildings, has nobody done so for 40 Wall?

i have this book...and regarding the top/crown of 40 Wall Street (the Trump Building as is known today.....uurghghghg )
it says:
"40 Wall Street's lead-copper-clad pyramidal cap, complete with crystal ball finial, brought the 71 story skyscraper to a "modernized French Gothic" climax. The tapering penthouse floors accommodated machinery, observation rooms, and a small 66th floor residential apartment."
so there.....
