Arrow Jane's Walk - Vancouver!

Hosted during the first weekend of May each year, Jane's Walks are free guided tours of neighbourhoods. Anyone can guide one, anyone can attend, and they're held in recognition of Jane Jacobs and her idea that neighbourhoods are built for people (not cars) and those people are the greatest asset to a city.

These are all the free guided tours around Vancouver this weekend:

Some awesome opportunities, held rain or shine! Vancouver historian John Atkin is hosting one about the history of the Grandview Cut tomorrow morning. I'll be attending that one and then hosting my own tour of the Trout Lake/Cedar Cottage area just south of Commercial and Broadway Stations.

This is the one I'm hosting:

Please come out! I only have 2 confirmed attendees for my walk so far

It's a really fascinating area, lots of heritage buildings and LEED architecture, interesting community and public art initiatives, and some mind blowing history!
