Parking often gets reduced from the original plan. Projects generally start the land use permit process with the largest potential amount of parking, then confirm or reduce from there.

In this case it might also have extra parking for the Archdiocese. I believe the original plan had that, and I suspect the new one might. It's still pretty high given that a lot of residents won't be drivers and most of the workers will be transit users (presumably low-paid jobs).
