Work is underway at the 500,000 square-foot
Stifel-Nicolaus Financial Corp. building located at 501 North Broadway in downtown St. Louis. The cost is $35-million with Stifel receiving a $17-million incentive package from St. Louis with the promise to create 200-plus jobs downtown.
The fast-growing national brokerage and financial services company opted to stay in its current building
instead of building a new tower at Ballpark Village.
Work at the existing building is to be done in two phases. Phase I is underway and Phase II is expected to include office levels seven through 12 and require approximately seven additional months.
Initial renovations to the existing building include a new lobby with second floor areas, an updated entrance at Broadway and Washington,
a new statue plaza and exterior modifications including new lighting and entry modifications. The new lobby will be completely redesigned to feature a more contemporary look.
The building will include Stifel Nicolaus offices, along with other tenants. Stifel is a full service brokerage and investment banking firm. The Company provides securities brokerage, investment banking, trading, investment advisory etc.
