Saint Petersburg, FL | Downtown, Grand Central, Botanical Gardens
Downtown:
Nice protected bikeway, with bikeshare:
Grand Central:
"Grand Central" is the neighborhood immediately west of downtown. It's a sort of midtown, I guess, but there are no tall buildings. A lot of good local retail though.
Great bookstore:
Classy:
Saint Pete's main bus hub is in this neighborhood, and is thus hilariously named "Grand Central Station." It's a pretty nice bus station, chuckle-inducing name notwithstanding.
I hate these things. They're functionally bad (uncomfortable, slow to load/unload, etc) and they send an advertising message that undermines transit (buses are an old-timey "ride," not legit day-to-day transportation).
Florida Botanical Garden:
That's all!
