Great pictures! I had a chance to take pictures Downtown a couple years ago, but did not see the piers (and regretably, didn't go inside Seaman's Bethel either; it has a pulpit shaped like the stern of a ship).

There's supposed to be more interesting neighborhoods there, like an old Portuguese/Azores neighborhood, but I haven't had a chance to explore more.
