It wouldn't have been economical to build endzone grandstands at THF, even to the height of the lower bowl. And large wind-breaks would simply be an eyesore.

Over time we may see the patio areas at each end built up a bit, but I doubt that will have much effect on wind. May even complicate the patterns at field level.

Wind was a bit of a surprise with THF from what I recall. Prevailing winds in Ivor Wynne were usually from the west, though they swirled (there's a story about Paul Osbaldiston studying the nuances and patterns early in his career, helping him better place his field goals and punts). But the breezes seem to come down off the escarpment much more often than expected; they don't seem to be an issue most games.

Regardless, wind is an occasional nuisance in just about every outdoor stadium. Just gotta play through it.
