back in early may, i left pristina and headed north. it was time, i think, for things like tap water and metro systems to make a reappearance in my life. though my time in kosovo was great, i never thought i'd stay there long term. western europe, however, is another story.
i have walked all around copenhagen over the past eight weeks, but i can't say that i know it yet — not in anything more than a superficial sense, anyway. i do know, however, that it has a lot of the things i like in a city: it's urban, walkable, and it has a good overall vibe and style. the metro and the s-train will take you pretty much anywhere you want to go, and they are adding 18 more stations right now (which has turned many of the city's main squares into walled-off construction sites, unfortunately).
