^ Well, the ground is always unstable in Chicago, lol.
I've gotten used to the building like the Elysian. I guess because the Farwell reconstruction softened my negative opinions. I stare at that longer than the tower. At this point, I hope the avenue's older structures will be spared from any replacement.
There's a good balance of architecture from different eras. There's also a few buildings that enable customized facades...so architecture can still refresh itself even if we see no new buildings.
I say once the planters go in we retire this thread out of the construction forums. Hard to believe this was just a cleared dirt site when I moved to Chicago.
