As I understand it, Lady Bird (an amazing gal I had the pleasure of meeting a few times) did not want TL named after her....I heard they wanted to do it in her lifetime and she forbid it.
If what I understand is true, it's a shame that people don't honor the wishes of the deceased. I witnessed the wishes of my grandfather, a great patriarch of our family, get completely overturned once he passed.
I will always call it Town Lake. RIP Lady.
