By Megan Martinez / El Paso Inc. Jun 20, 2018 Updated 3 hrs ago

El Paso-based Hunt Companies and WestStar Bank broke ground on their planned 18-story tower Wednesday.

The office building, called WestStar Tower at Hunt Plaza, will be the tallest building in El Paso at 306 feet and the first of its kind built in Downtown El Paso in nearly 40 years. It is expected to open in summer 2020 at 601 N. Mesa.
