No, and unfortunately probably never. The only city in the south that has a chance is Dallas. Dallas along with Chicago and New York are the top three potential U.S. bids for 2024. The USOC decided to pass on a possible bid for the 2022 winter games and are focusing entirely on summer 2024 games. Dallas is expected to be a big contender for the spot because the IOC is looking for a venue that is not like every other big city the games are usually hosted in (i.e. Chicago, London, LA, New York, Paris, Tokyo etc.). The IOC has also made it clear that money will be an issue and the DFW metroplex already has 80% of the structures needed to host the games, more than any of the other international or US bids.
