Next up for the state is Genghis Grill

The Mongolian Stir Fry is opening its first location in the state at Chace Landing in Hoover on U.S. 31 in March.
The Hoover location paves the way for the franchisor’s expansion, as the Dallas-based company eyes Birmingham and other major markets in the state for additional restaurants.

Genghis Grill is a fast casual, stir-fry restaurant concept. Customers can build their own bowl of food and watch it cook in an interactive style of exhibition lend themselves to Genghis Grill’s core demographic,” said Genghis Grill CEO Al Bhaktacooking on a large central grill. The concept was founded in 1998 and began franchising in 2001. It now has 55 corporate and franchise locations in 15 states, with more expected pending construction and site selection, it said.
Bhakta said Genghis Grill currently is looking for sites in Birmingham, Mountain Brook, Homewood, Vestavia Hills and additional locations in Hoover. Each restaurant ranges in size between 3,500 square feet to 4,500 square feet and is usually located at the end of a strip shopping center or in a standalone building. It’s also looking to expand to Montgomery, and Huntsville.
