My girlfriend and I drove by Tysons yesterday on our way to/from Leesburg. Despite the recent Washington Post articles about delays and using up most of the contingency funds for the Silver Line construction, it looks like there is great progress. Much of the guideways have been built on the Dulles Toll Road and the Wiehle Avenue station is quickly taking shape.

It is also evident how much development is occurring both in Tysons and throughout the Dulles corridor. There were cranes in Tysons, as well as the Reston Station at Wiehle Avenue. One thing I was thinking is that there is already bit of a skyline at both Reston and Tysons (admittedly limited to 15-25 story buildings). This area of the DC region is going to be quite impressive in a decade from now.
