I take this design as a tribute to Foster's 30 St Mary Axe which is a great building when D2 appears hardly random to me, now that I'm seeing what its facade would be made of. I hope being wrong, though.

Of course, we all agree that the district badly needs a strong symbol to appeal a real interest at last. The Grande Arche has been a complete failure in that respect. We need Phare. Hermitage is cool for bringing the mixed-use concept in a shiny manner, but I ended up thinking Phare would actually be the most significant architectural achievement. Phare is odd with a €900 million budget, which makes it possibly great.
