It'd be interesting to see more. I heard Uruguay was nicknamed South American Switzerland (at least here in France) because the economy's said to be steady enough over there. It is also deemed sort of Francophile, which of course the French appreciate a lot.
I don't know much of the country anyway, but they might just have been spared from any military dictatorship while Argentina and Chile suffered from such regimes in the 1970s and 80s.
Moreover, free-market supporters over here say Peronism caused some harm to Argentina's economy. That's too bad.
