I'd have to agree with you. New York has more of a range from super-tall down to 400, with plenty of 600 footers and 800 footers in between. Chicago has 4 super-talls, and a decent amount of 600-900 footers, and then a foundation of mostly-older, shorter classic boxes. I think a super-tall rising out of that would look better than it would in New York. Perhaps when New York adds (fingers crossed) all the super-talls that are being planned, then maybe a 2000 footer would be cool as a centerpiece.
