Quite the week here in Thunder Bay:
March 26th, apparently not suspicious though the scene was held for three days and the autopsy was performed in Toronto. The name of the deceased was withheld at the family's request, which has led to speculation that it's drug related.
April 1st, police are called to a disturbance at a downtown social housing block in the morning. Somehow, one of the people involved falls off a balcony and dies. Ontario's special investigations unit (which investigates situations where a person dies in the presence of police) is investigating.
April 3rd, public release from local EMS: opioids "like fentanyl or carfentanyl" have been detected in local cocaine supply.
April 3rd, #1: A man is found dead in a home in a middle class neighbourhood. It's considered suspicious. No other information has been released, police continue to hold the scene.
April 3rd, #2: A body has been found along a walking trail on the university campus. Police are holding the scene. No additional details at this time.
In addition to all of these, there has been a string of arsons on the opposite end of town.
