Great set of pictures. Rather gloomy but great! The images show a lot of good architecture going to waste.

A couple of bits of info:
1. The 1st house you picture in your Boston-Edison section is the Charles Fisher mansion (of Fisher Body/GM fame). It was put up for sale a few years ago for just under $1 million.

2. The Lafayette building (first pictured right after the Westin Book Cadillac) may be torn down. In December, the city of Detroit has begun demolition proceedings.

A couple of minor corrections:
1. The parking garage that they would not let you into was built inside the former Michigan Theater which had about 4000 seats; it was built as a movie palace. The current Opera house is the former Capital Theater on Grand Circus Park. The old Opera house was torn down many years ago and was on the site of the current Compuware Building.

2. Not really a correction but I would like to point out that the Mariners Church may be older physically but St. Anne's Parish is the oldest church in Detroit (founded in 1701, the same year as Detroit itself).
