If Munich is a city you've always wanted to visit, then this summer might be the time to do it.

Frankfurt-based Condor Airlines is launching a once-a-week direct flight from Halifax to Munich that will begin Friday and run until October.

"We already fly three times a week from Halifax to Frankfurt and now the fourth service, a brand new service, is to Munich in southern Germany," said Titus Johnson, the airline's vice-president. "It's another connection to the biggest economy in Europe and the fantastic city of Munich in Bavaria."
