Cleveland rapid transit, 1978-1990

Pullman-Standard Airporters had luggage shelves right inside the entrance to accomodate travelers' suitcases.

Shaker Rapid
The PCC cars on the Shaker Rapid may have been geared for interurban service; they were faster than most PCCs I've ridden. Cleveland was one of the few cities, possibly the only city, that had PCC cars configured for MU (multiple unit) operation, so that one operator in a lead car could control two or more cars coupled together for high capacity with reduced operating costs.
