Mexico City Airport Passenger Traffic up 6.5 % Year to Year, Jan-Oct 2004
The passenger traffic through Mexico City Airport expanded 6.5 pct year-on-year from January to October 2004, it was reported on November 23, 2004.
The number of passengers totalled 19 million, of whom 12.5 million used domestic flights and the remaining flied on international destinations, the spokesman of the airport, Jose Luis Uribe, said.
The airline operations over the period totalled 267,981, corresponding to 205,639 landings and take-offs of domestic flights and 62,342 of international flights.
In the same period of 2003, the passenger traffic through the airport stood at 17.8 million and the number of airline operations totalled 258,910.
The air carriers that reported the highest passenger traffic through the Mexico City Airport were AeroMexico, with 6.0 million travellers, Mexicana de Aviacion with 5.3 million passengers, and Aviacsa, with 1.6 million travellers from January to October 2004.
