Downtown LA actually has a lot of bus stops downtown from many lines.
LINK. You'll notice several stops have 10 or more lines utilizing that location. You will even notice in the inset for the subway stations, those are served by TONS of line...Civic Center stop, for instance, is served by about 60 bus lines.
