i went to the exhibit the night it opened. Unfortunately there was zero indication CITC will be any higher than 1,121ft. Most of the displays and pics are already available on the CITC page and elsewhere. The most interesting part of the exhibit was the notes and sketches Foster made as he was developing a design. Originally the building was almost Jetsonesque with a big bagel like sphere at the top. Several other iterations were very bland to me and looked shorter than what it is now. Honestly the current design is much classier and more interesting than any of his early ideas.

Last Friday i spoke to a worker at the site who told me the crane was arriving tomorrow (saturday)...so whatever is going on with the crane is news to everyone....including those on the ground
