Why are they celebrating with a fireworks display before it's even finished?

Oh well. North Korea probably isn't going to be repressive forever. Its influence has come from China and China is liberalizing. South Korea is ultimately its second biggest influence and South Korea is Western. Kim Jong Il won't live forever and I doubt whoever his successor is will think repressive government is best for the country.

In 20 years, other skyscrapers are going to be going up on either side of this.
