I see your point, Car2004. San Antonio developers have a habit of modifying plans to something less sterling, like the Hyatt Regency Hotel that was cut off at the knees to avoid casting a shadow on the Alamo or the Grand Hyatt which was originally billed as a 50-story hotel and was shrunk to the current 39-story wall that now runs along Market Street. However, I'm seeing more "forward-thinking" leaders emerging within city politics so we may be on the threshold of seeing some pretty impressive projects for San Antonio. Yeah, about the 30- 50- and 70- story hotels coming to SATX, we are WAY overdue. Our skyline would've been marginally impressive in the 1940s, but sadly, our skyline is lagging behind Houston, Dallas, and now even Austin big-time!
