I wouldn't get your hopes up yet for Oakland either. The "process" there can be just as crazy and cumbersome as SF, just in slightly different ways. This thing is a looooooong way from approval. The article says is "could take another year to receive entitlements" - that seems extremely optomistic to me for such a tall building. Two years, minimum, and hopefully the project isn't watered down too much.
