The New Orleans Metro Area grew 2.0% from 1,167,764 to 1,191,089. The city of New Orleans population increased from 343,829 to 360,740 representing a growth rate of 4.9%. Very impressive rates of growth for the area...as evidenced by all of the construction activity going on right now.

Great news... if we can keep those rates of growth up we'll truly be one of the hot cities of the 2010's. Or the 10's. Or whatever this decade is.
