nice tour. you have to love the variety of So Cal. everything at your fingertips!

its embarrassing that i still havent been to the Getty villa. looks so beautiful

In regards to skiing, an extra long rant for no reason....there are actually very good resorts down here. Im pretty sure that was a pic of Snow Valley, which is a smaller beginners mountain. You also have Mountain High, which is about 1 hour 15 min from downtown LA and its at about 6500 feet elevation, big bear resorts (7000 - 8800 feet) which are two very good resorts in big bear and all three have top notch parks, jibs, etc. Lastly, Mount Baldy resorts (7000 - 8500) is family run and older, but after fresh powder, its comparable to Mammoth in regards to terrain and difficulty. We also have a couple small family run resorts in Angeles crest that are only open after big storms since they dont have snowmaking. Mountain high will get about 125 - 150 inches of natural snow a year, big bear resorts about 150 - 175 and Baldy about the same. Lastly, dont forget that snowboarding was invented here so it cant be that bad! lol
