It's a nice addition no doubt. The parking space is needed for the addition of retail, theater expansion and residential units in this case, more of a necessity in the area as the density of the neighborhood increases.(Go Underground).
Lived on Roslyn for a fair bit of time and understand the difficulties of parking, even though I suppose the area is meant to be more walkable, and a transit oriented destination.
Street access would have been a major mistake in this situation and specific area.
Sherbook Ave? Unfortunate that the parking access is street fronted, potentially a cost saving measure by the developer.
