yeah, it's touristy to the max but it's still beautiful and a great place to hang out along the water as there are plenty of benches etc everywhere. Either stay on the far western end around Aquatic Park or the far eastern end and you'll mostly avoid the Fisherman's Wharf/Pier 39 cluster f**k
