However, it is not a level playing field and it simply has to do with physics. A cyclist can go up to 50km/h and weighs about 175 lbs lets say. A car can go 200 km/h and weighs 3000 lbs. That's almost 300x more kinetic energy.
An asshole cyclist may ruin your day; an asshole driver may ruin your life.
