PennLive generated a 3D massing model of downtown Harrisburg, which depicts the anticipated massing of the new Harrisburg University tower. While we wait for the final selection and some renderings, this at least gives some eye candy to the potential impact that this could possible have on the skyline. The third image implies some form and finishes - not sure if that's just a complete guess by the creator of the image, or if they have some inside information. More detail about PennLive's modeling process (with imagery) can be found at the article link below -

How (and why) we created a 3D map of Harrisburg

When Harrisburg University announced it was going to build a new academic tower -- and what could be the tallest building in Harrisburg, the news got our attention. After all, it's been almost 40 years since the 333 Market Street was built (currently the tallest building in Harrisburg).

The project would also mark a dramatic turnaround, not just in the fortunes for the university itself, but also for the city. So with those two ideas -- the changing of the city's skyline and the evolution of the university and the city -- we wanted to write an in depth feature on the project and what it could mean for the city and region...
