Good news for Downtown Oakland, if this comes to pass:

Developer to buy long-stalled Oakland site, start office tower on spec

Ellis Partners plans to break ground on the tower at 1100 Broadway, which is next to BART, on spec, or without a tenant commitment, said Mayor Libby Schaaf.

This one has been stalled for a decade. It seems like there are lots of proposals in Oakland, but not a lot of action. Hopefully a few can get going before the current cycle ends.
