This song was written by Doyle Bramhall and his son Doyle Bramhall II as a tribute to Stevie Ray Vaughan. Doyle Bramhall trained Stevie on vocalization techniques. Bramhall himself died in 2011. Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble, the Arc Angels and the Fabulous Thunderbirds - these guys were the heart and soul of Austin's blues and rock scene in the 80s and 90s.
