Ohio State Reformatory
The Ohio State Reformatory, also referred to as the Mansfield Reformatory, is a historic prison located in Mansfield, Ohio. Constructed between 1886 and 1896, it remained in operation until a 1990 federal court order required it to be closed. The facility is best known for its role in
The Shawshank Redemption.
On July 30, 2012,
Abandoned hosted a photography event at the Reformatory, which allowed for early entry into the former prison.
