^yes, that great building is 500 5th. It does get a little "lost" in that location because of other visual diversions, such as the iconic Main Library of the New York Pub Lib & Bryant Park across the street. Also the Chrysler Bldg & Grand Central are just to the east, and to the west Times Square and the Conde Nast building. Added to these is the constant swirl of activity on 42nd St which tend to draw one away from noticing 500 5th, which, as noted, is indeed an impressive structure.
