Sans Cantilevers, Chelsea's HAP 8 Acquires Holdout and Begins Construction

Over in Chelsea, a row of walk-ups and a parking lot are scheduled to be redeveloped into a pair of 20-story residential buildings. The developers, HAP Investments, have just started construction on the rental and condo venture designed by architecture firm DXA Studio. Tentatively called HAP 8, the structure will hold 112 rentals in the west building, at 225 West 28th, and 87 condos in the east building, at 215-219 West 28th.
