^^I'm going to guess they haven't done anything because they are reengineering and remanufacturing some replacement panels designed not to crack and will put them up when available. That certainly would be the best solution. Is there some reason that's unlikely? Admittedly I don't know much about the situation but that would explain why there hasn't been something different done.
